QTI at Mobile World Congress 2025: Showcasing Quantum Solutions for the Telco Industry

From 3rd to 6th March, QTI landed in Barcelona to participate as one of the 2900+ Exhibitors at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025 in Barcelona, one of the world’s most influential event for the mobile and telecommunications industry.

During the event, there was clear evidence of the growing interest from the telecommunications sector towards quantum technology, further bridging the gap toward the future of mobile communications. QTI was among the few companies present at MWC representing this innovative field.

Our booth showcased QTI’s solutions for quantum secure networks, with a specific focus on the opportunities for the Telco sector.

The booth was interactive as we showcased our Quantum Key Distribution system Quell-X, attracting significant interest from industry professionals keen to explore quantum solutions designed specifically for telecom operators.

The partnership with Telsy  was highlighted, in particular our fully entrusted end-to-end encryption solution, based on the integration of QTI Quell-X system and Telsy’s high speed Layer 3 encryptor TelsyMusaX.

QTI’s panel: Tommaso Occhipinti about Telco Security and Quantum Applications

A major highlight of our participation was the talk by our CEO and Co-Founder, Tommaso Occhipinti, at the GSMA Quantum Technologies Summit – Strategies for Telco Operators. In his speech, Tommaso provided an in-depth exploration of quantum-safe networks, emphasizing their ability to enhance security, efficiency, and resilience within telecommunications infrastructures. He presented various real-world applications, including secure data exchange between data centers, quantum technology deployments in MANs, quantum-safe solutions for critical infrastructures implemented by QTI, and stressed  the value of hybrid quantum-classical architectures.

European project QUantum ecOsystems – EQUO

The participation in the MWC showcased the concrete results of EQUO project, the EuroQCI industrial consortium led by the TIM Group and focused on the design, development and testing of advanced QKD solutions that can be integrated into telecommunication networks.

Our participation at MWC 2025 was positively received by the industry and caught the attention of external observers. Explore more:

We thank everyone who visited our booth at MWC 2025 and continue to strive to innovate in the quantum telecommunications sector.
