QTI stood out as a key player at OFC 2025 (Optical Fiber Communication Conference), the world’s leading event dedicated to optical communication technologies and the networks of the future. In the inspiring setting of Silicon Valley, we demonstrated how quantum cryptography is rapidly transitioning from theory to practice, integrating into communication infrastructures and elevating security to an entirely new level.
QTI at OFC: A Prominent International Presence
Our booth at the OFC Exhibition was a vibrant meeting point, where the QTI team, alongside Telsy, engaged with industry leaders, innovators, and researchers from across the globe. It was an extraordinary opportunity to build synergies, share our vision, and showcase our advanced solutions for quantum-secure communications.
Live Demo QTI: Quantum Cryptography in Action
One of the most exciting highlights was our live demonstration of the QKD-enabled multi-layer encryption solution, developed in collaboration with Telsy and SM-Optics. Integrated within the OFCnet infrastructure, our demo brought real-time quantum encryption directly to the show floor, proving that protection against quantum threats is no longer a futuristic concept but a tangible, operational reality.
Showcased at Nokia’s Booth
Our fully integrated QTI Quell-X Quantum Key Distribution system was also featured at Nokia’s dedicated Quantum-Safe Networks corner. This important spotlight underscores our ability to integrate advanced solutions into global, high-level technology ecosystems.

Education and Knowledge Sharing at OFC
Our CTO, Davide Bacco, delivered an in-depth tutorial charting the evolution of QKD systems from their early days to the latest developments leveraging qudit-based architectures, paving the way for the next generation of quantum technologies.
The overall architecture of the Live Demo performed within OFCnet was also showcased in the show floor of the Exhibition, attracting great interest from the audience.

Recognition from Institutional Delegations
QTI and Telsy welcome a delegation from the Italian General Consulate in San Francisco, a proud moment that confirmed QTI’s position as an ambassador of Italian innovation worldwide.

The OFC was the occasion to showcase the concrete results of EQUO project, the EuroQCI industrial consortium led by the TIM Group and focused on the design, development and testing of advanced QKD solutions that can be integrated into telecommunication networks.

Looking ahead to the Future of Quantum Security
Our week at OFC 2025 was not only an opportunity to showcase QTI’s cutting-edge quantum security solutions but also a moment for meaningful exchanges and growth.
